Statera Hires New Vice President of Business Applications Microsoft Gold Certified Partner and National Systems Integrator Expands Repertoire of Experience With Addition of Mark Day

ENGLEWOOD, Colo., Oct. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Statera, a local business and technology solutions provider today announced they have hired Mark Day as the Vice President of Business Applications for the Western United States. His expertise will help lead Statera's efforts in developing and strengthening the Microsoft Information Worker, Customer Relationship Management & ERP sales and marketing solutions.

Mark joins Statera from Microsoft Corporation where he served in numerous sales and marketing leadership roles since 2003. Mark has relocated from Boston where he served as the Area Sales Manager for Microsoft's Dynamics business for CRM & ERP mid-market solutions covering the Northeastern United States. Prior to his work in Boston, Mark served as Group Product Manager for the US Microsoft Information Worker Business & Marketing Organization where he managed both enterprise and mid-market customer segment sales and marketing strategy in Redmond, WA. While in Redmond, Mark developed a number of US programs to increase Information Worker & Dynamics partner capacity, US Office launch planning field role design and the implementation of Microsoft's Business Productivity Infrastructure Optimization initiative. Mark started with Microsoft as the Desert Mountain Business Productivity Advisor covering Microsoft Office System solutions and the entire Information Worker product set.

Mark holds his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and a Minor in Sociology from Colorado State University.

Qualcomm Commits .5 Million to Support Wildfire Relief and Recovery Efforts

SAN DIEGO, Oct. 25 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Qualcomm Incorporated , a leading developer and innovator of advanced wireless technologies and data solutions, today announced that the Company has committed .5 million to support relief and recovery efforts after this week's devastating wildfires in San Diego County. The total commitment includes immediate donations of 00,000 to the San Diego/Imperial Counties American Red Cross Chapter and 00,000 to Volunteer San Diego. Over the next several weeks, the remaining .3 million will be directed to various nonprofit and first responder organizations providing fire relief and recovery efforts via Qualcomm's corporate giving program, employee matching grant program and donations in recognition of employee volunteer efforts.

In addition, Qualcomm has provided equipment to the 2-1-1 San Diego call center to assist with their operations.
